Metal and PSU bank stocks are soaring. The HALO strategy explains why

Two days ago JP Morgan coined a new word — HALO (Heavy Assets Low Obsolescence) — which is getting a large traction from financial markets. Many analysts feel HALO perfectly describes sectors that can’t be ‘vibe coded’ away.
These are metals, gold, rare earth, power, oil and in the Indian context even PSU banks. These are traditional sectors with hard assets and have always been the ultimate arsenal in the portfolio of a value fund manager.
